Modern SZD-gliders at the Airshow

Come and see the masters live on 2 May at Aerosploty and celebrate the 80th anniversary of SZD.

We’ll meet at the Bielsko-Biała Aeroclub Aleksandrowice airfield to watch pilots from Poland and abroad!

A master pilot flying our Bielsko-Biała-built SZD-59 Acro glider!! Johan Gustafsson, a renowned Swedish glider pilot who has made a name for himself through his sporting achievements and spectacular air shows, will be flying in to us straight from Sweden. He represents the Scandinavian school of gliding, known for its precision and excellent use of atmospheric conditions. An absolute maestro with world championship titles to his name, whom we will be admiring on 2 May at the Aeroklub Bielsko-Biała airfield in Bielsko-Biała, PSK 2026!

In air shows, Johan Gustafsson stands out particularly for his night flights using pyrotechnics, which are among the most demanding aviation activities. Gliders have no engine of their own, so the pilot must plan every manoeuvre perfectly, relying solely on the energy of altitude and air currents. Don’t worry, despite the darkness, you won’t lose sight of Johan – he’ll be setting off so much pyrotechnics the whole time that you’re sure to see exactly where he is.

Such displays require a wealth of experience (and, of course, a superb SZD Allstar PZL Glider aerobatic glider)

We’ll be meeting up at Aerosploty and the glider rally over the May bank holiday, so the Perkoz Duo team simply has to be there! The SZD-54 Perkoz is a modern Polish training glider designed by SZD Allstar PZL Glider. It combines the features of a training glider with those of a competition glider, making it extremely versatile. Thanks to the use of modern composite materials, the Perkoz offers excellent performance whilst maintaining a high level of safety and comfort for the crew.

One of the key features of this glider is its ability to perform aerobatics. Instructors can train pilots not only in the basics of flying but also in more advanced manoeuvres. The cockpit has been designed with excellent visibility in mind, which is of great importance both during training and at air shows

In the context of air shows, the Perkoz is an aircraft that combines the elegance of gliding with dynamism. It can perform spectacular fly-bys, tight turns and the aforementioned aerobatics. Thanks to its versatility, it is an important element of modern gliding and is widely used both in training and at air events.
