In connection with the ongoing approval process for a minor change regarding the use of a substitute main landing gear shock-absorbing rubber cord for the SZD-50-3 "Puchacz" glider, the glider's Type Certificate holder, Allstar PZL Glider, has issued Service Information Letter No. SIL-001/SZD/2026.

On 30 April 2026, EASA published Airworthiness Directive No. 2026-0086 concerning the SZD-54-2 “Perkoz”, which requires an inspection of the welded joint between the lever and the torsion tube of the airbrake drive in the fuselage of the SZD-54-2 “Perkoz” sailplane.

The manufacturer of SZD gliders, Allstar PZL Glider, obtained information indicating that the pilot may have caused to unintentionally unfasten the Gadringer seat belts installed in the first cabin of the SZD-54-2 Perkoz or the SZD-59 Acro.

Allstar PZL Glider informs that it is possible to install a new two-piston brake calliper from TOST, type BZT2 5R.

Allstar PZL Glider decided to develop the present programme to extend the lifetime of SZD-50-3 PUCHACZ gliders up to 12 000 flight hours.
