September 2026 was a busy month for glider aerobatics, with the World Championships taking place in France. We had the opportunity to congratulate Nick Weiss, who was crowed the 2026 Junior World Champion and came second in the Advanced Glider Aerobatics category. We also had the chance to talk to him about the World Championships with a SZD-59. He gave us some insights that we would like to share with you.

The Polish Aviation Revue Przeglad Lotniczy published our 80th Jubilee in issue 4/2026 (no. 374) with an article about the legacy of SZD glider designs and production.

During the event dedicated to the achievements of glider pilot Adela Dankowska - the retired glider pilot and the coach of the Polish national gliding team - she had an opportunity to fly our Demo Perkoz

25k people watched the Perkoz Duo at the Leszcynska Noc Balonowa (LNB) on September 30th from the Lotnisko Leszno airfield. In the air show, Mariusz and Adam, the pilot duo, glide elegantly alongside, through, and above the 65 balloons.

The SZD-54-2 Perkoz has recently flown in the Italian Alps. Thank you very much for the invitation from the Segelfluggruppe Sterzing / Vipiteno gruppo volo a vela.

Our aerobatic glider SZD-59-1 ACRO was part of a unique moment in the Antidotum Airshow Leszno in 2024. The historic helitow was performed by Guy Westgate.

A major book on international sailplane types is now featuring our modern two-seater SZD-54-2 PERKOZ and our single-seater SZD-59-1 ACRO for the first time.

The celebration of the 90. anniversary of Aeroclub Dolores was a worthy opportunity to invest in the double-seater glider SZD-54-2 PERKOZ.

The best of the best in aerobatic gliding competed again this summer 2022. For our SZD-59 ACRO, two national championships stood out.
